About Novel Runner

Hi! I’m Liz. I’m just another crazy runner. I’m also just another crazy writer. And, contrary to the crazy runner/crazy writer stereotype, I also like to chill out. I run for the fun of it. I don’t subscribe to whacky diets or strict training plans. Some compare running to flying; I relate running to swimming (and by “swimming,” I mean passive inner-tubing), which is to say I prefer to go with the flow.

My longterm running goals are to run joyfully, healthfully, and until I’m (at least) eighty. I run to inspire creativity. I write about fabulous races, cool shoes, music I worship, gear I can’t (would prefer not to) live without, plus coffee, yoga, cross-training, cappuccinos, java, iced mocha lattes, and running metaphors. I try to keep it brief, because nobody’s got time to read a novel and writing books is already my day job.

Hi, Elizabeth! Love your blog and your quest to eventually find a way to “chill out” from your crazy running and writing schedule. I’m from Reebok and would love to connect about an upcoming race we’re running. Can you email me at blair.hammond@reebok.com, so I can tell you more? Thanks!

  2. Hi Elizabeth,
I saw your article from last September about the Wiggle, Jiggle and Giggle race in Palmerton. It’s coming up again in a couple of weeks; have you gotten up the nerve to try it? I’ve been involved in PCS’ races for over ten years, and noted the empowerment that comes from overcoming the various situations in which they put you. My wife is on her way to becoming a runner as a result of participating in the WG&G for the last couple of years. Happy to chat further about it if you like.

    • Hi, Tim! Thanks so much for reaching out. I don’t think the Wiggle, Jiggle & Giggle race fits with my schedule this year, but it is absolutely on my bucket list. I have so much admiration for runners who participate in those events. Hopefully I will be able to make it next year!
